NEWLY-WED & CREAM PUFF

      Depois de muitas dúvidas, qual primeiro vídeo, apresentação ou não dos personagens, resolvi começar com este vídeo que já mataria dois coelhos com uma cajadada só. Aproveitem para treinar o listening, e caso tenha alguma dúvida a transcrição do mesmo encontra-se abaixo, mas antes de acompanhar com a transcrição, assista sem olhar o texto para exercitar o cérebro, depois pode conferir se ouviu correto, caso contrário não se preocupe, isto aqui é só um treino. NEWLY-WED: significa “recém casado”, neste caso/contexto, eles não acabaram de casar, mas que tem poucos meses que se casaram.

CREAM PUFF:       Substantivo: bolinho com recheio de creme e chocolate em cima, como mostra o vídeo, mas neste caso Mitchel entendeu  diferente, com outro significado:

                         Adjetivo (informal): pessoa fraca, não brava; mariquinhas; sendo que neste contexto poderíamos traduzir por frutinha, mas eu prefiro docinho, afinal o bebê não está com nenhuma fruta nas mãos.

MITCHEL & CAMERON are proud new parents.

-Someone: Look at that baby with those creampuffs.

-Mitchel: This baby would be growing up in a crowded orphanage if it wasn’t for us creampuffs, and you know all of you who judge, shame on you…

- Cameron:  Mitchel!

-Mitchel : What?

-Cameron: She got the creampuffs.

PHIL & CLAIRE, have the traditional family

-Phil: I’m the cool Dad. I know all the dances to High School Musical.

No matter how different they are.

-Jay: Heeey. We’re here, coming in…

-Mitchel: Don’t worry Dad, nothing gay going on here.
